The Details

Window dressings are an integral component when decorating your home. Deciding on the right window furnishings takes time and serious consideration too. No idea where to start? That’s OK, we’ll lead the way.

It seems a lot to consider, but honestly, with a few questions that we ask of you during our consultation, we’ll bring it all together for you to create a space and home you’ll love.

Block-out lined drapes; plain, textured or patterned. Their thermal benefits are the perfect application in keeping the utility bills down. Drapes also create mood, softness and style to a room. Their acoustic properties also do well in areas such as family rooms with hard surfaces as they absorb the hustle and bustle of a busy home; and perfect for theatre rooms.

Sheer curtains are an increasingly popular choice. On their own they’re stylish and simple. Matched with a block-out lining, they too are thermally efficient. Sheer curtains create daytime privacy, and prevent the sun’s UV rays from fading and discolouring flooring and furniture. Married with block-out lining behind the sheer, night-time privacy is created, as well as protecting the room from the elements of heat and cold.

Of course, there is the simple approach for dressing a window such as our custom shutters. Perfect for any room from the bedroom through to the bathroom. They are super easy to maintain and wonderful in controlling the light.

Don’t forget the accessories for completing the final look: where the tracks are installed, and if pelmets are required. All of the extra bits and pieces (the details) we work through with you during our consultation and design process.
